Fundraising and Special Project Funds
Friends of Cleveland Elementary School
Families adopted a neighborhood school and are making a difference
For the Friends of Cleveland Elementary School, the concern is children,
particularly those living in the highly congested northwestern section
of Pasadena. Troubled by the impact of State budget cuts upon local
schools, the Friends of Cleveland School came together to assist
the Pasadena Unified School District in providing an environment
that was conducive to learning. As an advised fund of PCF, the Friends
of Cleveland works in partnership with businesses and the private
sector to create positive change at Cleveland.

The Yes, Virginia Fund
"Some things have to be believed to be seen"
The
Yes, Virginia Fund was established in 1993 to help address the
needs of our community’s children. The fund provides grants
to local non-profit agencies to provide toys, books and experiences
for children on special occasions, from holidays and birthdays
to unique circumstances. "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa
Claus" means that no child is meant to go without. The Yes,
Virginia Fund offers these gifts in an effort to help all children
feel valued and supported in their lives. We are committed to
our credo: Some things have to be believed to be seen.”
