NEW BOARD MEMBERS JOIN PASADENA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Board of Directors of the Pasadena Community Foundation welcomes two new Board members, R-lene Mijares de Lang of Pasadena and Raymond Ealy of Altadena. Both have been active in volunteer service organizations in the local community.

Born in Pasadena, R-lene de Lang’s grandmother opened the City’s first Mexican restaurant, Mijares. Still owned and operated by the family, R-lene now serves as the restaurant’s General Manager. A graduate of John Muir High School, R-lene pursued her undergraduate studies at UCLA and the University of the Americas in Puebla, Mexico. She was graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and Archeology and continued her post-graduate work in Education at California State University at San Diego. She is married to Gordon de Lang and the proud mother of Derek, a 14-year-old student who this year begins his studies at Loyola High School. R-lene currently is on the Board of Villa Esperanza Services and the Patron Saints Foundation, to name a few. |

| As a Vice-President for Competitive Analysis for Countrywide Home Loans, Ray Ealy brings over 15-years of financial and management experience to his many volunteer activities. Before joining Countrywide, he worked as a branch manager and Assistant Vice-President at several of the nation’s leading banks including Security Pacific, Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Raised in New York, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Florida State University in Tallahassee. He and his wife Charmayne and son Aaron live in Altadena and focus their volunteer time and attention on issues of education and the extra curricular activities of their son. Ray currently serves on the Board of the Central Altadena Little League and as chair of the Advisory Board of LA's BEST. He is one of the founding members of The Friends of Cleveland Elementary School which works with the Pasadena Community Foundation through a grants program to support Cleveland School. |

The 50-year-old Pasadena Community Foundation serves as a leader, catalyst and resource for philanthropy and seeks to improve the lives of people in the greater Pasadena community now and for future generations.
