IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PASADENA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION WELCOMES WENDY MUNGER

The Board of Directors of the 51-year-old Pasadena Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of its newest member, attorney and well-recognized community leader, Wendy Munger. A recent lecturer in law at the UCLA School of Law with a specialty in Negotiation and Mediation, Wendy brings to the Foundation both impeccable professional skills and a strong dedication to the community.

Wendy began her career as a law clerk with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and went on to become an associate and partner with the L.A. law firm of Tuttle & Taylor. In 1992, she joined the Executive Board & staff of the Special Counsel appointed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to conduct a review of the policies, practices and procedures of the L.A. Sheriff’s Department.

Many community organizations count Wendy as one of their strongest supporters. She has served on the Boards of the Union Station Foundation, Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library and Westridge School. She is also on the Board of Trustees for Polytechnic School and for her alma mater, Stanford University. Currently she serves as an overseer for the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens and is on the Board of Directors for the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena. The proud mother of three, she and her attorney husband, Leonard Gumport, reside in South Pasadena.

The Pasadena Community Foundation is committed to providing perpetual support to the local non-profit community and exceptional services to donors. Over its 51-year-history, it has paid out over $26 million to non-profit service organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life in our local community and beyond.
