SID TYLER JOINS PASADENA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION BOARD

Sid TylerSid Tyler is well known in the community having served on Pasadena’s City Council for 12 years from 1997 – 2009. His political career followed a successful business career in the corporate medical world. He retired from Tenet Healthcare Corporation in 1994 and prior to that worked at Xerox Corporation’s Medical Diagnostic Operations and for Smith Kline Beecham.

Sid continues to contribute to the community, using his experience in the medical field to serve the Board of Community Health Alliance of Pasadena (CHAP). He was also selected to serve on the Citizens Oversight Committee for Measure TT which funds school improvement projects for PUSD. He has been married to Betsey for 50 years and they have four grown children. Sid is a self-described “average tennis player, terrible golfer and accomplished skiier.” He is also a “beginning gardener” and their house on Madison Ave. where they have lived for almost 40 years is a beautiful example of water-wise planting.

Sid’s deep knowledge of the Pasadena will be a terrific asset to the Board of the Pasadena Community Foundation which he joins in January 2010.
